Wes and I picked up our marriage license on Tuesday, and today we will be moving our money into a joint checking account.
In light of that, I was able to relax more this week than I have in a long time. It was wonderful. Last night I went to Target and bought a few little fall decorations. There was just something very fulfilling about staying home decorating instead of working. I have always believed in the whole gender role thing - not the extreme version where women don't work and all they do is cook, clean, and babysit - but feeling less of a financial burden on myself and more room to do woman things really did a lot for my wellbeing.
This week also brought news of another bridal shower - yes, I said "another" - this one is for work. I can't tell you how blessed I am in the current job I am in. I am hesitant to talk about previous ones because I lost track of who I gave access to this website, but... let's just say sometimes loss and misfortune is just God's way of saying "Hey, I have something better for you."
The time is flying by so fast. I can't believe it is only 6 weeks until the wedding.
